Our community is at the core of what we are at Atlantic Design Works. Below is a glimpse of the independent designers and makers that are our neighbors, and a lot times, our inspiration and collaborators. As each group pursues their trade, we also make sure we are coming together in ways to support each other, as well as using our space and energy to find ways to support the greater design community, and our physical community.

Aura is a Chocolatier/Pastry Chef with a Baking and Pastry Arts degree (Johnson and Wales University, RI), and a Graphic Design degree (Instituto de Diseño de Caracas, Venezuela). Her passion for chocolate was born during her internship at Herbert's Candy Mansion. Since 2013, she has been working mostly exclusively in chocolate mass production. With all her experience and love for product development, Aura has decided to launch "Aura's Chocolate Bar!": a place to showcase artisan chocolate, seasonal, and custom confections for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, and much more.

Wide Plank, LLC is a vision-driven development firm whose purpose is to revitalize under appreciated places & create stronger community. We do this by Improving buildings whose quality fundamentals aren’t fully realized. Additionally we look to strengthen the community by improving the public realm—and look to  creating opportunity for social engagement. We do all this while ensuring our properties have strong underlying financials. This captures our triple bottom line philosophy-- our projects should have positive, measurable impact on our users, our neighbors, and our investors.

Wide Plank's ventures generally have been buy, rehabilitate and hold projects focusing on multi-family housing on Providence's West Side. We have had the opportunity to stabilize a number of historic properties, which have provided high quality housing and have performed well. We have begun to develop community-based commercial spaces Olneyville, which, although it is a less established market, has proven to be an exciting opportunity.
